Football coaches under Sumi area to undergo training

The ten-day training camp of football coaches was flagged off at Saramati Hotel, Dimapur by founder YouthNet Hekani Jakhalu.
According to media cell of Western Sumi Sports Association (WSSA), 11 coaches under WSSA, one each under Suruhuto Area Sports Association and Zunheboto District Football Association will undergo training under Baichung Bhutia’s United Sikkim Football Academy, under master trainer Richard Chamberlain from England at Siliguri.
In her address, Hekani termed the training as a huge step towards nurturing young and aspiring sportsmen under Western Sumi areas and thanked Bhaiching Bhutia for accepting the proposal despite of tight schedule.
She encouraged the coaches to undertake this training as a mission to learn and start grooming under-14 players who will be the future star players for the state. She further acknowledged the vision and leadership of WSSA for working out a long term systematic plan for the future of sports and the youth.
Hekani further reminded the coaches that after their return, they should focus on training at least 30 young players each.
She said that the vision was to have WSSA under-14 tournament sometime in December and create WSSA Under-14 Team.
