Former legislator of 26 Aonglenden assembly constituency, Toshipokpa Longkumer along with his supporters joined the Congress party on January 29, 2023.
Toshipokba was welcomed by Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) working president and vice chairman NECCC, Bobby Panicker along with DCC president and office bearers of Mokokchung DCC.
It may be recalled that Toshipokba won the by-election on NPF ticket in 2011 defeating veteran Naga politician Dr. S.C Jamir.
