Gov interacts with Chümu CSOs, HoDs

Nagaland governor, La Ganesan held an interactive meeting with the CSOs and HoDs of Chumoukedima at Rhododendron Hall, Chumoukedima on June 28.
A DIPR report informed that the governor in his speech, said Chumoukedima district was fortunate than most of the districts in Nagaland due to its geographical location and other factors.
He said the district has been blessed with good topography, fertile soil, and a suitable climate for farming and business, and also has well-established central institutions and universities and several good schools and colleges in the district.
It was for these reason, the governor said Chumoukedima has been rightly dubbed a “Mini Nagaland” and was not home to not just one tribe but people from all the tribes of Nagaland.
“As a district with a vibrant population and with all the right conditions for development, we wish to see Chumoukedima as a developed district, powering and inspiring other districts of Nagaland in our march toward progress and prosperity”, he said.
The governor also said that it was his endeavor and wished that every district in Nagaland has the four basic infrastructures – education, adequate health care, good roads, and adequate banking facilities.
He pointed out that the focus should be on quality education and urged all the educational centers to keep themselves abreast with the developments and conform to the national policies for the benefit of the students.
Maintaining that healthcare service in the district was an important focus area and quality healthcare should be the ultimate goal, the governor highlighted on government health-related schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, and the state’s own CM Health Insurance Scheme. He urged the concerned departments to take these government schemes to the doorsteps of the citizens so that the common citizen would be benefited.
He also highlighted safe drinking water, where the Government through Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) undertook to provide clean drinking water to every home in India. He requested the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) to ensure that the JJM scheme reached to every citizen.
Earlier, the interaction meeting began with an invocation by Asst. Pastor, Town Baptist Church, Chumoukedima Kezhalelhou and welcome note by DC Chumoukedima, Abhinav Shivam.
PowerPoint presentations were highlighted by the departments of Tourism, Rural, and Medical, followed by interaction with HoDs & CSOs. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks by ADC, Chumoukedima, Dr. Kuzonyi Wideo.
