Governor, CM, Dy.CM extend Tuluni greetings

Nagaland governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy chief minister Y Patton have extended greetings to Sumi community members on the occasion of Tuluni festival.
In his message, Prof. Mukhi said that Tuluni festival, celebrated to welcome the bountiful season of the year, was a time to re-strengthen family and social bonds and to celebrate new relationships.
Governor expressed hope that the Sumi youth would come together as a community and continue to unite and build the Nagas to overcome the challenges.
Taking to twitter, chief minister Neiphiu Rio said Tuluni festival is celebrated to welcome the arrival of new crop from the field. “May our thanksgiving prayers to the Almighty for the abundant yield be accepted and the festivity strengthen bonds,” Rio said.
In a message, Patton said that Sumi community has a very vibrant culture when it comes to celebrating festivities. He urged them to carry on the spirit of brotherhood both within and outside.
