DIMAPUR: One day seminar on management of biomedical and general wastes was organised for church leaders on March 23 at Conference Hall, District Hospital Tuensang (DHT).
A press release by Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) department Tuensang stated that at the seminar, DTH medical officer (psychiatrist) Dr.Senilo Magh stressed on importance of types of biomedical waste-generation, segregation, decontamination, disposal into bins, handling, storage and finally disposal.
DTH SMO (Pathology), Dr. Tochi Chang emphasized on types of general wastes, disposal of wastes and importance of recycling waste.
The seminar was attended by medical superintendent DTH, doctors and nurses from district hospital and church leaders from different churches in Tuensang Town.
