Himanta to meet Core Committee on June 2 at Dmu

Assam chief minister and North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convenor, Himanta Biswa Sarma is scheduled to arrive Dimapur on June 2 to hold deliberations on the Naga political issue among others.
Highly placed sources informed Nagaland Post that Sarma will arrive Dimapur on June 2 evening and hold closed-door meeting with members of the Core Committee on Naga Political Issue, headed by chief minister Neiphiu Rio.
The committee members are also likely to apprise Sarma on the outcome of the core committee’s meeting held on May 28, so as to take it forward to the Centre.
Sarma has been tasked by Union Home minister Amit shah to build a ‘political’ way forward with the leaderships of Naga groups.
