ICAR-NRC, PCC sign MoU to undertake research programmes

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-National Research Centre (NRC) on Mithun and Patkai Christian College (PCC) Chumoükedima on November 28 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly undertake various research programmes in near future.
A press release by ICAR-NRC on Mithun informed that ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Medziphema, director, Dr Girsh Patil and PCC principal, Dr. Thepfuvilie Pieru, signed MoU considering the scope of collaborative participation in the various research programmes to be mutually agreeable.
ICAR said the MoU would benefit the students’ and research scholars in gaining the scientific technique and idea for carrying out their research work.
Expressing happiness over the agreement, principal, Dr. Pieru stated that the MoU was a very quick development and would go a long way for teaching, research and extension activities.
ICAR-NRC on Mithun director assured that the physical facilities and scientific manpower available at NRCM would be shared with the college for under graduate and post graduate students in research and extension activities.
The release stated that the intellectual property, research publication and benefits arising out of commercialization of technologies generated out of co-operation under this agreement shall be jointly owned and shared by both parties.
The signing of MoU was witnessed by Pr. scientist, Dr.Nazrul Haque and Sr. scientist from ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Dr. Sapunii Stephen Hanah and PCC vice principal, Dr Angel Sonari and dean of science, PCC, Dr. Reingamla Tetso.
