Inauguration of district-level exhibition stalls on I-Day

District-level exhibition stalls and sale were inaugurated in various districts as part of the 76th Independence Day celebration in Nagaland. The stalls were inaugurated under the initiative of Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA).
Zunheboto: ATMA Zunheboto district organised a district level exhibition stall cum sale on Independence Day at local ground, Zunheboto.
According to a DIPR report, the exhibition stall was inaugurated by the chief guest, minister for Agriculture & Cooperation, G. Kaito Aye.
A total of three Self Help Groups (SHGs) representing three ATMA blocks—Akuhaito, Akuluto, Satakha, one ATMA progressive farmer and allied departments—department of Soil & Water Conservation, Land Resource, Horticulture, Agriculture and Veterinary & A.H Departments showcased different activities and produce of the district.
Peren: In Peren, four exhibition stalls run by four progressive SHG farmers of Peren district were opened at the exhibition & sale at GHSS Jalukie, Peren.
The ribbon cutting of the stalls was done by chief guest, advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire.
In his speech, the advisor appealed to the farmers to do well and encouraged them by buying their produce and interacted with the women farmers.
In the stalls, different potted flowers were showcased for the exhibition along with fruits, vegetables, local fish and handloom products which were also on sale.
Tuensang: ATMA Tuensang organised district level exhibition at the Tuensang local ground.
The exhibition stall was inaugurated by advisor for Road & Bridges, H. Chuba.
Agri. & Allied departments, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), department of Forest, Ecology, Environment & Wildlife and Legal Services of the district participated in the exhibition.
During the exhibition, four FIGs/FSG/CIGs from different blocks of the district displayed their agricultural produces.
ATMA also distributed free leaflets, folders and booklets printed in local dialect on various agriculture and allied topics.
Wokha:ATMA Wokha organised the district level exhibition at Local ground Wokha with state deputy chief minister, Y. Patton as the special guest.
Various organically produce agronomical and horticultural crops collected from various villages across Wokha district such as banana, pineapple, colocasia, passion fruits, kiwi, chilli, squash, ginger, cucumber, hydroponics greens, pumkins, cucurbits etc., were put on display for promotion of local agricultural produces and upliftment of farmers in the district.
One of the main objectives of the programme was dissemination of farm information where publications such as booklets, leaflets, pamphlets, folders on various agricultural farming practices of local translation were also distributed freely to the public.
