Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mokokchung has launched “Integration of WADI and piggery” at Ongpangkong (S) and Chuchuyimlang Block, Mokokchung under Tribal development Fund (TDF) in collaboration with NABARD at KVK Conference Hall on June 23.
Delivering opening remark for the commencement of the project, NABARD general manager, Nagaland Regional Office, Dimapur, Tiakala Ao said the project started in Mokokchung in 2022 in collaboration with KVK Mokochung after the successful implementation of Potato Seed Village in Lonjang village. She said the implementation of the programme was possible with good partners and would be successful when farmer worked hard with sincerity.
ADC Mokokchung, Chumlamo Humtsoe in his speech urged the farmers to follow good agricultural practices to maintain soil health for generations to come. Dr. Sanen Jamir, VS, CVO, Mokochung encouraged the farmers to go forward with the spirit of positivity and unity among them for favourable outcome of the project. District Development Officer, NABARD, Mokokchung, Amarjit appealed the farmers to collaborate with the KVK scientists and participate wholeheartedly in all the training and capacity building programmes for good performance of the project. Various activities of the programme undertaken in the adopted villages namely, Chuchuyimlang, Yaongyimti, Old, Yaongyimti New and Aliba was highlighted by Assistant Chief Technical Officer (Agronomy), Tokiho Achumi.
