The first ever two-day Inter-Collegiate Sports-Cum-Literary Meet, 2023 got underway at St. Joseph’s College (A) Jakhama on February 3. The meet started with an inaugural session in the college football ground at 9:30 am, during which Rev. Fr. Obed Yimchunger, Vice-principal, SJC (A), Jakhama hoisted the flag.
Welcome address was delivered by Fr. Dr. George Keduolhou Angami, Principal of the host college who declared the meet open after the oath taking ceremony.
Nine colleges comprising Sazolie College, Baptist College, Kros College, Alder College, Modern College, Don Bosco College, Oriental, and St. Joseph’s College (A), Jakhama participated in the meet.
The various events included football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, painting and short story writing competition.
