Inter-ward choir competition held at Peren town

Mdipuiram ward emerged as the winner of the Peren town inter-ward choir competition, which was organised as part of the 75th years of Peren Township celebration on Tuesday at Peren town square.
Thousands of people converged at the venue to witness the choral competition where nine wards from Peren town competed for the title.
Nsetning ward was adjudged as runner-up while Keletzai ward bagged second runner-up title.
The winner received a cash amount of Rs.30,000 while the runners-up walked away with a cash amount of Rs 20,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively.
The viewers’ choice award was bagged by Mdipuiram ward, which who also received Rs. 3,000.
There were six consolation prizes with Rs. 5,000 each.
The prizes for the winners were given away by ADC Peren, Keyirangding Hegui, while the consolation prizes were handed over by EAC Peren, Er. Seyievilie Pfukri.
The competition was judged by Heleilak Hega (chief judge), Zalevonuo Nza and Kebana Thou. The programme was compered by Keyilamle and Pauheugau Rangkau.
On Wednesday evening, Dreamz Unlimited and local band from Wokha “About Us” enthralled the audience with their wonderful performances.
