Various branches of the Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland (IRCSN) celebrated “World Red Cross Day 2022” on the theme, “Be Human Kind” on May 8. To celebrate the day, ICRS branches across the state carried out various programmes and provided aid to people in their vicinities.
Kohima: In Kohima, the IRCS Kohima branch celebrated World Red Cross Day with the inmates of Kripa Foundation, Centre for treatment and rehabilitation at High School Colony, Kohima.
In a press release, IRCS Kohima branch, joint secretary, Santu Thapa informed that during the programme at the centre, a brief introduction on the significance of the day was presented by Kohima district branch secretary, T. Louis Solo while a short talk on the theme was delivered by Santu Thapa.
IRCS Kohima branch office bearers and managing committee members were present.
Later, face masks, sanitation packs, T-shirts and ration were donated to the centre.
Tseminyu: IRCS Tseminyu branch observed World Red Cross Day on the theme “Be Human Kind”, at Rengma Student Union Office on May 8 with deputy commissioner (DC), Tseminyu, Dr. Zasekoulie Chusi and theme speaker, Jacob Keppen.
After the programme, gifts were presented to the old aged and destitute women on account of Mothers’ Day.
