JBS Khonoma holds 3-day annual sports

St. John Bosco School, Khonoma held its three-day annual sports opening ceremony on March 9 which was graced by the Assistant Commandant, new Zubza 7 AR Adeep Tamang who hoisted the flag followed by march past of the three contingents of Red, Blue and Green Houses.
The chief guest in his speech lauded the School management and the students while thanking Rev. Fr. Solomon Vizo the Head Master of the School. Speaking on the importance of Sports and games, Adeep Tamang said that Sports is very essential for every human life to keep them fit and physically strong.
He said it has great importance in each stage of life and also improves the personality of people. “Sports keep our all organs alert and our hearts become stronger by regularly playing some kind of sports that includes even walking,” he added.
Citing Mary Kom and Mirabai Chanu who hail from rural parts of Manipur, he urged students to have determination and dedication for greater life achievements.
Students were fully occupied with events like relay race, high jump, long jump, and javelin on the first day. Football and volleyball will be conducted on day 2. The JBS annual sports will conclude on March 11 with prize distribution.
In vote of thanks, Sr. Julia thanked special invitees Fr. Sunny K.S, Fr. C. Joseph and the parents present.
