Kachari Tribal Council Nagaland (KTCN) president Ramesh Hasnu passed away on Saturday.
According to KTCN media cell, the funeral service would be held at his native village, Amaluma under Dhansiripar on March 19, 2023 at 10am. KTCN stated that Hasnu breathed his last as he was being brought back to Dimapur from Guwahati at around 6:30pm.
KTCN stated that in his sudden demise the Kachari community has lost “a bold leader”, who was always ever ready to give his time and service for the community. “The void created by his demise will be very hard to replace,” the council stated.
KTCN conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that God Almighty grant give them strength and solace during this time of sorrow.
DDCF: Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) has expressed grief over the passing of KTCN president Ramesh Hasnu and said that “we have lost a wonderful soul” in his demise.
In a condolence message, DDCF president Yibemo Kikon and general secretary Ricahrd Haolai described late Hasnu as “a man of principle and a very loving person.”
Stating that the vacuum created by his demise would be very difficult to fill, the forum said his contribution to the society must have been an immense help to many.
DDCF extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that God Almighty grant them strength and solace during this time of grief and sorrow.
NGTC: Nagaland Garo Tribal Council (NGTC) has also expressed deep sorrow over the demise of KTCN president Ramesh Hasnu, saying the Kachari tribe has lost “a great enthusiastic leader” in particular and the minority tribes in general.
In a condolence note, NGTC joint secretary Cliff Sangma described Hasnu as “a very tall and visionary leader” with a lot of experiences, who always believed in standing together and going together for the betterment of minority tribes and society as a whole.
NGTC has extended condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Lord Almighty give them strength to bear this irreparable loss.
