KADTA to resume sand supply from Dec

Karbi Anglong & Dimapur Transporters’ Association (KADTA) have decided to resume supply of sand at Manja route from December 1 onwards.
KADTA president Anil Topo and general secretary Nito Sumi said that the decision was taken after the association held a joint meeting with Silveta Sand Mahaldar Welfare Association (SSMWA) and Bakalia Sand Mahaldar Welfare Society (BSMWS) on November 27 at 6th Mile Lahorijan along with drivers and owners of trucks supplying sand.
KADTA also said that the ban on sand supply called by SSSUD, ASSTOA and SSSSUC on November 10 was done without any reason and that there was no positive response till date. Further, KADTA, SSMWA and BSMWS requested the district administration and law enforcement agency to ensure free passage of trucks within Dimapur and Chümoukedima districts. They have also cautioned the other associations not to harass the trucks as they were not under their unions and said that they will be held responsible should anything happen to the truckers. For any queries, the associations can be contacted at 9612988113.
Meanwhile, KADTA has called for a meeting on November 30 at 3 p.m. with all drivers and owners supplying sand at Lahorijan Tata parking.
