KCCI condemns abduction of member

Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has vehemently condemned the kidnapping of its member Anil Choudhary. In a press release, KCCI president Kezhazer Angami and general secretary Henry Chisüte termed as “despicable” the act of kidnapping, which they said had no place in any society.

KCCI said that the threat of kidnapping and terrorising the members of the business community “motivated by monetary greed” has become a social evil. KCCI strongly demanded that such “abhorring activities” should be thoroughly investigated and the perpetrators be punished as per the law.

The chamber has, therefore, appealed to the law enforcing agency to promptly swing into action and bring the perpetrators to book at the earliest. KCCI also demanded immediate release and safety return of the abductee.
Meanwhile, KCCI has appealed to all civil society organisations and public to extend support to the business community in its “daily struggle with money mongers.”
