KDFA, KDFRA hold joint field day

Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) and Kohima District Football Referee Association (KDFRA) held a joint field day at Roko Angami’s farm, Zhadima on Friday.
The introductory session was led by KDFA president, M Matthew Yhome, who stressed on the need for the referee’s association, coaches’ department and football association to coordinate, work closely and have good relationship for the welfare of football.
He informed that during the last KDFA executive meeting, the members unanimously approved to induct the presidents of KDFRA and coaches’ department to the KDFA team as executive members.
Nagaland Football Association, Head of Referee (HoR) said that the gathering between the two associations was a first of its kind which is a welcome gesture and thanked the KDFA.
He said the field day was not only about merry making but a very special day for football as it was a sign that football would definitely move forward, be uplifted and promoted not only in the district but beyond.
Nagaland Coaches Association president and KDFA senior president, Roko Angami, in a short speech acknowledged members who came to the event. He said their presence was a testament of their sincerity, commitment and love for the game.
He challenged the gathering to take football to higher heights at the same time be ready for upcoming events.
Senior referee, Lhouliebeio Khezhie, suggested for the need of a seminar for better understanding and coordination by early next year. He also stressed to streamline and systemize football in the district.
KDFA executive member, Pudil Tsükrü invoked God’s blessings during the meet.
