KSCDL to conduct UAP till Dec 23

As per Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs’ (MoHUA) directive, Kohima Smart City Development Limited (KSCDL) would conduct an ULB Awareness Programme (UAP) in coordination with Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) and take up activities such as putting up billboards/hoardings and banners, wall graffiti, campaigns, Referral Survey Promotion.
According to Chief Executive Officer KSCDL, Er. Kezhazelhou Theunuo, this is part of the Citizen Perception Survey (CPS) launched by the ministry on November 9 as the fourth crucial pillar of Ease of Living Index (EoLI) assessment, with the objective of capturing the perception of citizens on the quality of life in their city. The feedback of citizens received through CPS will help in improving urban governance through participatory planning and will further aid in formulating better policies for the citizens.
To continue till December 23, CPS will be conducted through UAP, which is an incentive-based programme and is being conducted to encourage the ULBs to promote the survey among citizens at the city level. The programme aims to drive city administrations to increase awareness and engagement of the citizens by conducting specific city-level activities for all the participating cities in the Urban Outcomes Framework (UOF) 2022.
KSCDL has urged citizens to fill out the online survey form using the referral code (801466 for Kohima). To increase engagement, print media, digital media, including social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, innovative initiatives through broadcasting and collaborations, stakeholder coverage through focused promotion (for senior citizens, employees, women, slum dwellers, shopkeepers, students, reaching parents through school children, including dovetailing with existing city level events), will be carried out.
Thereafter, ULBs will be scored and ranked in accordance with the compliance to the set of criteria listed under various engagement activities listed earlier and awarded by MoHUA in City Awards 2022. Awards will be given to cities under Best Performing ULBs, Best Social Media Performance, Best Creative Ideas, Best Campaigns and Best Survey Promotion.
KSCDL and KMC in a press release have appealed for proactive participation and support from all sections of citizens for the upcoming CPS. Further information regarding the survey could be gathered from https://eol2022.org/, stated the press release.
