Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mokokchung organised “Jal Shakti Abhiyan (JSA)” campaign and mela on September 23 at Sangtemla Ward Multipurpose Hall, Mokokchung.
At the programme, divisional forest officer Mokokchung, Sentitula Pongen said humans as custodians must earnestly work towards water conservation and suggested that modern technology of farming should be amply applied with creative initiatives. In order to conserve water and forests, Dr. Sentitula stated that one must preserve flora and fauna, sensitise and involve community and agriculture and that allied departments should coordinate to assist the community.
The programme was chaired by senior scientist & head KVK, Mokokchung while keynote address was delivered by SDO (C) Longtiba Sangtam.
