Advisor, Food & Civil Supply (F&CS), Legal Metrology, K. Tokugha Sukhalu Saturday said though the state government has many plans on the pipeline, the claims of land compensation issues was blocking the development projects.
According to a DIPR report, Sukhalu said unless everyone comes together and do away with land compensation issue, development would be “very hard to achieve” in the state. The advisor was addressing the 28th Baghi Hoho of Zunheboto Area GB Association (ZGBA) held under the theme, “Fostering peace and upliftment of society” at Sumi Kukami Hoho Ki, Zunheboto.
Sukhalu also reminded the GBs of their “big responsibilities” stating that the village development and progress depends on whether they (GBs) are active and wise or not. He also advised the GBs to be fair and just to everyone and encouraged them to do good deeds as they led their people.
Expressing concern over lack of Sümi officers, the advisor asked the Sümis to retrospect whether it was due to the “weakness” of the parents or students. The advisor also thanked the ZGBA outgoing executive members of for their service and wished the best of luck to the newly inducted members.
