LFI College activates Red Ribbon Club

Red Ribbon Club of Livingstone Foundation International College conducted a speech competition and awareness programme followed by a voluntary blood donation camp on February 10.
The event was graced by Dr. Nounechutuo Miachieo, MD, pathologist at the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) as guest of honour. In his address, Dr. Miachieo highlighted the importance of blood donation and encouraged people to spread awareness in different ways. He said regular blood donation by a sufficient number of healthy people was needed to ensure that blood will always be available whenever and wherever needed. He appreciated the college for taking the initiative.
Lucy, President of Positive Network of people living with HIV attended the programme as special guest and shared her experience. After the programme, the students visited Civil Hospital, Dimapur for Voluntary Blood Donation and 11 donors opted for Voluntary Blood Donation which included the faculty members of the college.
