LFI College holds lecture on ‘science and religion’

Department of History, Livingstone Foundation International College (LFIC) conducted a lecture on the topic, “Science and Religion” on March 7 with director of Centre for Advance Religious Studies, Northeast Christian University, Rev Dr. Samuel Richmond as the resource person.
A press release by the college informed that the purpose of the lecture was to instil new ideas among the students and to touch areas beyond the academic syllabus. Dr. Richmond spoke on the importance of both science and religion.
He quoted Albert Einstein, “Science without religion is lame, and religion without science is blind,” and maintained that human beings need both.
The discourse was followed by an interactive session followed by vote of thanks by principal Dr. R.K. Behera.
The programme was chaired by Pechesin Kent (2nd semester), invocation by Dantsula K Yimchunger (4th semester), welcome note was delivered by HoD department of history, Imtiba and a special number was presented by Dinman Kaurinta and Amongla Lemtur (2nd semester).
