LFI observes annual day

Livingstone Foundation International (LFI) observed its annual day by organizing a rare fervour of music, excitement and entertaining extravaganza at its Green Lawn on December 8.
During special message to the gathering on the occasion, the chairman of LFI, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema underscored the importance of skill development in the students apart from academics.
He called upon the parents and guardians to shift their focus from the traditional education emphasising on rote memory to a more vibrant and diverse skill based education system and holistic and conceptualized education system whereby students can shine not only in their studies but also can develop their career in other areas like sports, music, fine arts, crafts, etc.
Earlier, welcoming the gathering, the director of LFI, Ani Yepthomi expressed joy and satisfaction on being able to conduct the annual day event after a gap of almost two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown.
She expressed the hope that the bond among the school management, mentors, students and parents would grow stronger in the future.
The programme was led by Manshvi Rathore, Natasha Kharkongor, Imlijungla Aier and Aotila Aier and began with the invocation by Kakheli Jimomi, secretary, Women Ministry Department of WSBAK.
It was followed by School Anthem led by the LFI Band.
