Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) has clarified that Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas)– LJP (RV) – was not an alliance partner of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) headed by BJP at the Centre.
Speaking with Nagaland Post over phone, RLJP national general secretary and national spokesperson Sanjay Saraf pointed out that RLJP and LJP (RV) were two different political parties and dismissed the statement that LJP (RV) was an alliance partner of NDA at the Centre.
He asserted that RLJP headed by Union minster and national president Pashupati Kumar Paras would never be in alliance with LJP (RV) and also clarified that there was no relation between the two parties and that no talks were held regarding merger of the two parties.
He further informed this reporter that RLJP would be fielding candidates in the upcoming Assembly election.
Meanwhile, in a statement, RLJP State president RL Nelson said his party had split from LJP and was now functioning under the dynamic leadership of Paras with five MPs. He mentioned that RLJP was a member of NDA.
He mentioned that RLJP had Nagaland unit with executive members.
