Load shedding in parts of Chümoukedima

Power department, electrical division Chümoukedima, has informed that due to damage of 33/11KV, 2.5 MVA power transformer at Dhansiripar sub-station, the department has resorted to local load shedding in certain areas.
In a press release, executive engineer, electrical division, Chümoukedima, informed that power transformer damage affected consumers feeding from Dhansiripar station and for which an alternative arrangement was made temporarily from the nearest sub-station.
However, the equipment at other stations also loaded to its maximum and unfortunately uninterrupted power supply could not be maintained, but resort to local load shedding.
The department informed that it was trying every means to restore the damaged transformer at the earliest.
The affected areas include Selouphe, Singrijan, Sangtamtilla area, Sovima village, Unity village, Sodzulho village, 5th Mile Model Village, 7th Mile village, Deizephe village, Tsithrongse village, Murise village.
The department has requested the consumers in the affected area to extend cooperation and bear the inconveniences till power supply was restored back to normal.
