Logos College Sovima sports week underway

The 20th annual sports week of Logos College, Sovima got underway on November 8 under the theme, “Press Towards the Goal” at the college ground. The inaugural programme was graced by advisor Nagaland Indigenous People’s Forum and board chairman DBC, Dr. T. Lima Jamir as the special guest.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Dr. Lima reminded that sports events are important for the body stating that sports week is important for students’ life where they get opportunities to play games. He maintained that playing college sports has some serious benefits which help their brain grow and makes it work better. He also said besides just being fun, sports can help them perform better in school, relax more and worry less, deal with setbacks, work better with others and increase their energy — all of which helps them balance and everything else going on in their life.
The master of ceremony was Kaikho Athew, the opening prayer was pronounced by Mhaletsolie K, welcome address was delivered by David Khobung and the oath taking was administered by Gagi A.
