Manipur violence: 6 injured admitted to Kohima hospital

Even as violence singes neighbouring Manipur with clashes breaking out between the tribal groups and the dominant Meitei community, six injured persons have been hospitalised at a private hospital in Kohima.
While five of these injured were brought to the hospital in the early hours of Thursday, one was admitted in the afternoon.
Speaking to Nagaland Post, Mangminlen, one of those hospitalised, claimed that he was attacked by an unknown mob as he was going to help some injured persons. He had received multiple injuries and had to be given stitches on his head. Two more– 35-year-old and 23-year-old youth – with bullet injuries were admitted at the hospital. Three more persons were reportedly admitted at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital as they had gunshot wounds.
Among these three, one of them had received a gunshot in his pelvic bone and sustained other injuries and was said to be in a critical condition. The condition of the other two in the ICU was stated to be stable.
