A consultative meeting on intensive revision of electoral rolls for Wokha Town Council (WTC) was held on Friday, in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner (DC) Wokha under the chairmanship of additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Wokha, K Furhesie Nyuwi.
During the meeting, the participants were informed that intensive revision of electoral rolls shall be prepared for all the wards under WTC and be taken up with reference to January 1, 2022 as the qualifying date. The meeting also deliberated on demarcation of polling station areas under various wards.
The meeting was attended by leaders and representatives from political parties, chairman, GBs and representatives from wards and colonies and stakeholders under WTC.
Satakha: A consultative meeting with all GBs, ward functionaries, political parties and elders of Satakha town in regard to the preparation of E-roll for election to Town Council was held on July 29 at the chamber of ADC Satakha under the chairmanship of SDO (C), Satakha Kupeising Meru.
Chozuba: ADC Chozuba, Imokokla held meeting on July 28 at the ADC’s office hall for intensive revision of the electoral roll for Chozuba Town Council (CTC).
According to a DIPR report, the ADC informed the gathering that enumeration would be launched from August 3 and that eligible age for electoral was 18 years as on January 1.
The electoral revision exercise was attended by GBs, representatives from political parties, colonies, Chozuba Town Women Welfare Society, and Advisory Committee Members of CTC along with government officials.
Noklak: DC Noklak, Hiazu Meru held a consultative meeting with ward chairmen and GBs of Noklak town on July 27 in the conference hall of the DC Noklak office.
According to a DIPR report, Meru informed all the ward chairmen and Noklak town GBs that the enrollment of voters for town council election would commence on August 3.
He requested the public of Noklak town to enroll those eligible to enter the e-roll list and requested GBs and ward executives to cooperate for the successful conduct of enrollment drive.
Noklak Town Administrator, C Phuniang also explained in detail the guidelines and procedures of enrollment in the e-roll of the town council election.
Kohima: A training for all supervisors and enumerators appointed for Intensive Revision of Electoral Roll in respect to Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) for ULB election was held on July 27 at the Conference Hall of the DC Kohima.
