Meetings, trainings held for civic polls

District and Sub-Division administrations have been conducting meetings and trainings on intensive revision of electoral rolls for municipal/town council election.
In Dimapur, the training of supervisors and enumerators of East Dimapur Town Council election conducted on Monday, in the conference hall of deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur.
According to a DIPR report, the training was conducted by ADC Dimapur and administrator East Dimapur Municipal Council and EAC and AERO, East Dimapur Town Council. ADC Dimapur informed that government was all set to go for intensive summary revision and for which, house to house enumeration would be conducted from August 3-September 24.
ADC Dimapur appealed all to extend cooperation to enumerators for successful conduct of the scheduled summary revision.
Noklak: A training on intensive revision of electoral rolls for town council election was conducted on July 30 at the conference hall of DC Noklak.
At the meeting, administrator, Noklak Town Council, C. Phuniang highlighted the procedure of electoral roll revision and also explained in detail the forms and formats of the revision. He requested all the supervisor and enumerators to work the extra mile for the smooth conduct of the enumeration.
Phuniang informed that intensive revision of electoral rolls for town council election would begin from August 3 and final publication of electoral roll would be released on November 24. He requested all the ward leaders and Citizens of Noklak Town to cooperate with the enumerators for the successful conduct of the exercise.
Tuensang: A meeting intensive revision of e-roll 2022 for municipal/town council election was held on July 29 at the conference hall of DC Tuensang.
The meeting chaired by ADC Tuensang, Thungchanbemo Tungoe was attended by president CKS, Tuensang Town all ward union, vice president USLB, presidents of all ward of Tuensang Town and representatives of recognized political parties.
Niuland: A consultative meeting on intensive revision of electoral roll in regard to Niuland Town Council was held on July 30 with political parties, wards authorities and NGOs with ADC & ERO Niuland, Lemlila Sangtam as the chairperson.
Earlier, a training for enumerators and supervisors for the intensive revision of the electoral roll was also conducted on July 29 at the conference hall of DC Nuiland.
