The Meghalaya Government on Friday suspended all recruitment processes in all government offices across the state following the recent direction by the High Court.
The Meghalaya Personnel and Administrative Reforms (B) Department issued a notification to all administrative departments, secretary, Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC), all deputy commissioners and chair persons of District Selection Committees, all Heads of Departments, all Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil), all in-charge administrative units and all Block Development Officers in this regard.
The Meghalaya HC has stayed all recruitment processes as the state government doesn’t have a roster system till date.
On Tuesday a division bench comprising of Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee and Justice Wanlura Diengdoh had stayed all government recruitment processes until a roster system was put in place for appropriate implementation of the reservation policy. MPSC had put on hold all interviews and recruitment in the wake of the stay order issued by the High Court.
