Merama YO observes platinum jubilee

Merama Youth Organization, Phesama village observed the Platinum Jubilee at Phesama village on December 20.
Special officer to chief minister, Neibalie Rio graced the celebration and unveiled the jubilee monolith.
In his speech, Neibalie appreciated the introduction of Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) by the state government which will benefit the educated unemployment seeking government jobs as it will encourage fairness and transparency.
He appreciated the villagers for donning full traditional attire and said Nagas were known for the traditional practices and customs and hospitality and that it should be preserved.
The jubilee monolith was blessed by Visede Kar and Vipusa Zashümo gave the traditional blessing and Rüsano Tepa spoke on behalf of Merama women married.
Neilhouvi Chütso chaired the programme and Razouvi Chütso, chairman delivered the welcome note. Traditional songs and dances were presented at the programme.
