The annual literary-cum-cultural day of MGM College was held on February 8, under strict Covid protocols.
The programme was inaugurated by the principal Rev. Fr. Dr.P.S. Varghese by lighting the lamp.
In a press release, MGM media cell stated that, Varghese exhorted the students on the importance of games and sports and other extracurricular activities which he considered as an essential prerequisite for the all-round development of the students. Further he explained the thought of Ed Markey: “Education is not only a ladder of opportunity, but it is also an investment in our future.”
The day began with singing competition followed by the debate which was further followed by several other literary and cultural activities under strict COVID protocols. The four cultural groups under the flag Denver, Tokyo, Berlin and Moscow participated.
College general secretary Manniym Konyak along with cultural secretary Alih Konyak and sports secretary Samkanta informed that the result would be declared after the annual sports meet, scheduled to be held from February 21 to 23, at Dimapur District Sports Complex.
