DIMAPUR: IQAC, mentoring and counselling cell of Mokokchung College of Teacher Education (MCTE) organised a workshop on “counselling for teachers” at the college on Saturday.
In a press release, MCTE informed that resource person, co-founder of Wellness 10:31, educator and counsellor Alemrenla Jamir, highlighted various techniques as a teacher to help children see reality as it is and not as it appeared.
MCTE vice principal, Dr Temsurenla delivered key address followed by four sessions on teacher the facilitator, understanding different types of students and approaches towards them, counselling skills and commitment of a teacher.
The workshop focused on importance of teaching as eternal commitment and the most noble and sensitive profession.
Later, discussion and feedbacks from student-teachers, faculties and the resource person were held.
