The 3rd season of 35+ Mokokchung Friday League (MFL) kicked off with 6 teams on Saturday at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, by Proprietor of Anuradha Hardware, Mohan as the guest match patron.
Delivering a short note on MFL 3rd season, Dr. Lanu Walling stated that MFL was a ‘fun league’ where football lovers converge to meet and befriend strangers.
He said that the league belongs to no one and that the management is a concerted efforts of all the players and well-wishers. He therefore called all participants to collectively own the league.
Dr Lanu further added that MFL was for a time of fitness and role models for the younger generation in the field of football.
Earlier, a minute of silence was maintained for ‘peace & tranquillity’, in Manipur.
The opening function was chaired by Zulumanen and the invocation said by Acha while a song was presented by Temsusangla. Oath taking was administered by the MFL convenor, Imcharen.
