An inter-district coordination meeting between officials of the Mokokchung and Jorhat district administration, police and forest department was held on Saturday at the R.K. School Conference Hall, Tuli.
According to DIPR, the officials discussed several pertinent issues including maintenance of peace and tranquility at the inter-state border areas of Mokokchung and Jorhat districts.
The meeting also resolved to continue extending support and cooperation to each other in maintaining of status quo. During the meeting, DC Mokokchung urged the Jorhat district administration to refrain from taking unilateral actions which may aggravate tension and create a law and order situation along the border.
Officials from Mokokchung who attended the meeting include DC Shashank Pratap Singh, SP Aotula T. Imchen, DFO Sentitula, along with ADC Tuli, ADC Mangkolemba, EAC Longchem, SDPO Tuli, and SDPO Mangkolemba while Jorhat district was represented by DC A.K. Barman, SP Mohanlal Meena, DFO Nandkumaran along with ADC Jorhat, Circle officer Mariani, Circle officer Teok, SDO (C), and SDPO, Titabor.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by ADC Tuli Shying Sheu.
