Molungyimsem celebrates 150 years of christianity

Molungyimsen Baptist Arogo is celebrating the Sesquicentennial (150 years of God’s faithfulness among us) and the birth of Christianity in Nagaland, with a theme “Declare His Glory Among The Nations” at Molungyimsen, Mokokchung from November 4-6th. More than 1500 delegates from 98 villages across Nagaland attended the program on the first day.
Regional consultant for economic development and community transformation India, Nepal and Srilanka, Rev. Katie Longkumer unveiled the monolith at the inaugural.
The monolith was dedicated by Rev Jim Bell, associate executive director of American Baptist International Ministries, USA, virtually and also delivered a message.
Rev Dr Wati Longkumer, special assistant to area director of International Ministry American Baptist Church extended greetings to all the delegates and participants.
Exhorting the gathering, Dr Anungba Sanglir encouraged the congregation to confess their sins and ask for forgiveness with all their hearts.
On the occasion, Rev Dr L Kari Longchar, director (peace affairs) of NBCC and former ABAM executive secretary, and Rev Tajung pastor Molungyimsen Baptist Arogo released a book on “Nagaland Nüng Arogo Tenzükba Otsü”.
Earlier, Rev Tajung also delivered the welcome address.
The programme started with a short play by Youth Ministry of MBA with a message to promote peace and unity.
