More organisations flay murder at Chungtia

More organisations like Ao Senden, Ongpangkong Mungdang, Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF), Association of Mechanical Engineers, Nagaland (AMEN), Kohima Science College, Jotsoma (KSCJ) 2007 batch, Sabangya Compound Lanur Telongjem (SCLT) have vehemently condemned the brutal murder of Imkongchiba Kichu on February 22, who hailed from Chungtia village of Mokokchung district.
Ao Senden: In a press release, Ao Senden president, Chubawati Longchar and general secretary, Imtipokyim, stated that the abduction and merciless murder was alien to the Ao culture and has painted a grim picture shown to others adding that a true blooded Ao feels ashamed of such a heinous crime being committed. Ao Senden has appealed the concerned authorities to take prompt action by arresting those person(s) involved and award befitting punishment as per law. The Ao Senden further appealed all citizens to ensure that the electoral process passes off peacefully without any incident in the land.
Ongpangkong Mungdang: Ongpangkong Mungdang in its condemnation said that the act was alien practice which was a sacrilege as per the Ao customary law and called upon the law enforcement agencies to do their at the earliest award befitting punishment. The Mungdang further cautioned that for the ensuing assembly election any kind of threat or intimidation from any groups or organizations suppressing the rights of the electorate will be seriously viewed and called upon the council members and its citizens under Ongpangkong range to remain united to check any unscrupulous activities.
NLSF: Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) has expressed shock that the life of a youthful member was nibbed in the bud by the evil action of the criminals that in a day light which is understandably a premeditated murder by the homiciders. It stated that such act of violence was not the answer even against anybody and it was purely a purging which was undesirable for a society like ours. In a condemnation, NLSF through its media cell urged the State government to apprehend the perpetrators and be brought to justice immediately. The NLSF conveyed condolences and solidarity to the bereaved families who lost a precious life in the tragedy and dedicate their prayer for peace and solace during this unrest time.
AMEN: Association of Mechanical Engineers, Nagaland (AMEN) has vehemently condemned the barbaric inhuman act committed towards its fellow brother late Imkongchiba Kichu of Chungtia village. In a condemnation note, president AMEN, Er. Kolou Khape and general secretary, Er. Penglang P have strongly appealed the concerned authorities to spare no effort in bringing justice. Amen further extended its condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family.
Kohima Science College, Jotsoma (KSCJ) 2007 batch: The friends and batchmates of late Imkongchiba Kichu, from the graduating class of 2007 Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, while condemning the brutal killing of its dear friend, an engineer by profession with a law degree and a former president of the Chungtia Students’ Union (CSU). In a condemnation note, class of 2007 KSCJ expressed shock and was outraged by this heart-wrenchingly barbaric and inhumane act that has deprived the society of a leader and a champion working fervently towards equal rights and opportunities for the people.
They described late Imkongchiba Kichu, as fine gentleman, humble and upright, kind-hearted and honest, fun-loving person by nature who could instantly connect with anyone.
Class of 2007 Kohima Science College, Jotsoma called upon the concerned authorities to ensure prompt, independent, impartial and effective investigation into this brutal murder that put out the flame of a promising young figure. It said that such acts of cowardice have no place in the society and demanded that the investigation be taken up on fast-track as a top priority. It also offered condolences to the bereaved family and loved ones and prayed that the Lord give peace, blessings and comfort to the family during this time of grief.
SCLT: Sabangya Compound Lanur Telongjem (SCLT) while condemning the abduction and gruesome murder stated that the atrocity of the miscreants stand as its own condemnation and the organization urged every right thinking citizen to condemn such heinous act.
In a press release, SCLT president, Molungtoshi Longchar and general secretary, Lentinaro appealed the law enforcement authorities to leave no stone unturned in convicting the perpetrators and serve justice promptly.
SCLT further offered condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased as they keep them in their thoughts and prayers.
