Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT), has expressed gratitude to PWD (National Highway), Mokokchung division, for their swift action in repairing potholes around Mokokchung town.
In a press release, MTLT president, Imnaonen Pongen and general secretary, Imkongchuba Pongen stated that residents have been grappling with the deteriorated road condition for an extended period which has become worsen due to an increase in vehicular traffic and monsoon rains. In this regard, the youth body approached the PWD for immediate intervention.
Acting promptly on the request, MTLT said that the department officials, under the leadership of Executive Engineer Er. Limatoshi, commenced the repair works and managed to rectify the issue within two days.
The organization further urged all departments to remain responsive to the public needs, emphasizing the importance of community-driven development.
Further, MTLT affirmed that that in alignment with their motto, “Always Vigilant”, it will continue to monitor and ensured that ongoing developmental activities take place within the town.
