Musik-A Festival from Feb 18-20

Musik-A team would be organising the Musik-A festival from February 18-20 at Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre, 6th mile, Sovima.
Announcing this to the media at a press conference here, Tuesday at Nagaland coffee, Dimapur, Alobo Naga informed that the festival was scheduled to be held in the month of December 2021, however due to the Oting incident, the festival was postponed expressing solidarity to the innocent civilians. He said that with the COVID situation, they could not organise the event in the month of January but with reopening of schools, the organizer decided to hold the event this month following mandatory SOPs.
On the change of the sequence of the festival, Alobo informed that the first day would feature state’s first Comedy Festival with Hopong Naga, Aseno Ayemi, Hobi Tsang, Sunep Lemtur, Mr Smile and Inglish Maker.
Alobo informed that advisor, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Dr. Neikiesalie ‘Nicky’ Kire would grace the inaugural programme.
The second day would feature dance battles, beatbox battles, “battle of the bands”, performances from a number of artistes and “showdown” between G’Nei and Moko Koza where Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) advisor Theja Meru would grace the occasion as special guest.
On the culmination night, the festival would host “girl power night, presenting various female artist presenting International EDM Nite with DJ Ankita Arya as headlining act. The event would be graced by Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) women organisation president, Vikali Zhimomi. During the festival, various food stalls would also be set up along with gift hampers.
In this regard, the organisers have invited all to be part of the event and to support the artists and entrepreneurs. Entry fee for the event would be Rs. 250 per person and the gate would open 3:30 p.m. onwards.
