Muslim Council Dimapur felicitates meritorious students

Muslim Council Dimapur (MCD) on Sunday felicitated meritorious who secured 75% and above in the recently declared HSLC and HSSLC exams besides handling over the MCD Communal Harmony Award 2022 at the 18th annual Nagaland Muslim Students felicitation programme.
The programme was graced by leader of NPF party and co-chairman, UDA, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Neinu. He congratulated the students of the Muslim community for their hard and dedication and also acknowledged the MCD for successfully organizing the programme, adding that it displayed how advance the Muslims of the state had become in the past two decades. Azo also urged the student bodies of Nagas to also give importance on organizing felicitation programmes for the successful students and not only give importance on conferences and meetings.
Pointing out that Nagas rarely gave credit, he urged upon the Naga student bodies to hold felicitation programmes as such programmes will boost the students in achieving more academically. He also appreciated the motto of the MCD, “Unity, Integrity and Communal Harmony”, and urged upon all Nagas to adapt the motto in letter and spirit.
Meanwhile, delivering a short speech as the special invitee, founder of Unity Education, Foundation & Law House, Guwahati, advocate, AS Tafadar, congratulated the students for their hard work and sacrifices, adding that the felicitation programme was organized in their honor for a defining and proud moment. He extended support to MCD for organizing the programme, adding that these students were vital for nation building and appealed others to extend to support to MCD.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by working president, MCD, Ahidur Rahman, prayer was offered by Iman Hazi Park Jana Masjid Dimapur, Moulana Amir and welcome address was delivered by president, Muslim Council Dimapur, A Hannan Tapadar.
Short speeches were also delivered by president, Naga Council, Etsungmomo Kikon, president, Dimapur District Citizens Forum, Y Kikon, administrator, Dimapur Municipal Council, Albert Ezung, and vice president, BJP Nagaland, Basu Damani.
