Several delegates led by Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) general secretary, Rev. Dr Zelhou Keyho are attending the two-day 50th anniversary of the Asian Pacific Baptist Federation which began Saturday in Singapore.
According to a DIPR report, the anniversary held under the theme, “Imagining the Future Together” was being attended by several hundred delegates from different countries.
The welcome greetings were delivered by APBF general secretary, Rev. Dr. Vesekhoyi ‘Vee’ Tetso and Singapore Baptist Convention, executive director, Rev. Dr Bobby Lee.
Greetings from past presidents were delivered by Dr. Billy Kim, Korea, Rev. Harry Monro and Rev. Jason Das while APBF history was presented by APBF former general secretary, Rev. P. Bonny Resu.
The guest of honour, Baptist World Alliance, general secretary, Rev. Dr. Elijah M. Brown shared a message on “Staying Focused: On Mission with God” while TBTS academic dean, Dr. Rachel Tan spoke on “APBF into the Future”.
Conversations were also had with the past presidents and leaders of PBF youth and women departments. Conversation and presentation on “Peace, Youth & Theological Education Ministry” and “God’s Work Through Partnership” were done by the resource persons.
Nagaland Baptist Church, Choir under the leadership of James Shekiye Swu and Mizoram Baptist Church, Choir gave special presentations.
