Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Peren held a governing board meeting on Friday, in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner (DC) Peren.
In a press release, ATMA Peren deputy project director, Kumui Nring informed that district soil conservation department, land resource department, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, water resource department, district horticulture department, district sericulture department and fisheries & aquatic resources department presented ongoing departmental projects and schemes implemented in the district during the meeting.
ATMA Peren also presented on organisational set-up and activities carried out at various block levels.
In his speech, DC Peren, Vineet Kumar, who is also the chairman of ATMA governing board emphasised on the need to conduct governing board meetings not only on quarterly basis but as often as possible, in order to create better coordination among agri and allied departments.
He asked responsible departments to be positive in their approach towards upliftment of farmers in Peren district.
In this regard, he requested the departments to submit papers or present existing plans, schemes and projects.
To subjugate better workability, we must contribute jointly, the DC stated. He also remarked that the agri and allied departments were interrelated and that joint effort and better coordination will bear visible implantation.
