Nagaland Board School Education informs on App, X & XII selection tests

Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed that a mobile app has been developed by the board, for filling up online application forms.
According to a DIPR report, the app can be downloaded from Google Play Store and the link is available at nbsenl.edu.in.
Schools have been advised to let one or two teachers install the app in their smart phones, collect students’ details (registration number, roll number for repeaters/phone/mobile no., email, etc.) and to take photograph of the student in school uniforms using the app and submit it. Students have been asked to retain their reference ID for checking application status as and when required; they shall provide examination fee to their school and schools after collecting fees from students should login to the portal, verify the form, make payment and forward the forms in the portal to the board for approval.
Meanwhile, NBSE has notified heads of institutions registered under NBSE that despite selection test was done away in 2014 as notified on March 10, 2014, and stated in the rules under Management of Examination 2014, many institutions are still conducting selection test to drop poor learners from appearing HSLC & HSSLC examinations.
In this regard, NBSE has reminded all heads of institutions not to conduct selection test for classes X or XII level to screen out poor learners. Schools should assure that the course/syllabus of the academic year is covered and learning gaps among students identified and the varied needs of students are addressed. All possible efforts should be taken to give remedial measures, special classes etc. for weak students to improve their performances, the board stated. Further, all schools have been directed to conduct model test at the end of completion of the course based on the design of the board’s question paper to orient students to sit for the board examinations.
