Nagaland: Chief Electoral Officer, employees cast vote through postal ballot

Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, V.Shashank Shekhar, officers from election departments, service and police personnel engaged in the election process 2023 began voting through postal ballot.
The CEO cast his vote through postal ballot from 9 AC-Kohima, at the DBs Court DC office, Kohima on February 22.
Media cell of CEO informed that CEO expressed happiness at being part of the election process- which has been called the festival of democracy. He expressed the hope that everyone will come together and ensure that the elections were conducted in the true spirit of democracy.
Other officers who exercises their franchise on the same day included Additional CEO,Ruokuoviltuo Khezhie, Jt. Secretary & OSDs to CEO, Hiazu Meru, and Razouvolie Dozo, Jt. CEO Awa Lorin and ACEO R. Toshimeren Aier
MON: Service personnel engaged in the upcoming general election began voting on February 20. The facilitation centre for the first day was DC Conference Hall Mon.
The first day of the postal ballot voting went peacefully, as per the ECI guideline. DC and DEO informed that Postal Ballot Voting will go on till February 23 at Mon, as per the schedule, in various categories: DEF, Home Guard, Fire & Emergency, District Jail at SP Office, Mon; 6 NAP Battalion, Tizit at 6 NAP BN HQ, Tizit and 11th NAP (IR) Battalion, Aboi at 11th NAP (IR) Bn. HQ Aboi.
CHUMOUKEDIMA: Voting through postal ballot for the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Elections, 2023 was held on February 21 at DC Office Chumoukedima.
Postal ballot casting was held for DC Staff Chumoukedima; DC Staff Niuland; ADC Staff Medziphema; Sector Magistrate; BLO; Govt. Drivers requisition for election duty and any personnel drafted for election duty. Voting under 4-Ghaspani-I, 5-Ghaspani-II, and other districts ended peacefully.
