Due to poor condition of Dikhu bailey bridge situated at 12km on NH-202 Mokokchung-Tuensang road, all the goods-laden vehicles have been diverted through Longmisa village Mokokchung to Thronger village Tuensang till further arrangement is made.
According to a DIPR report, the decision was taken after the deputy commissioner (DC) Mokokchung Shashank Pratap Singh along with a team of officer inspected the bridge on Wednesday.
After the inspection, the team decided to allow only light motor vehicles and passenger carrying vehicles to use the bridge.
The other officers in the team included commandant 23 Assam Rifle Viplove, SP Mokokchung, ADC Longkhim, Phuleshe K Yepthomi and NH-202 Mokokchung-Tuensang Er. L. Akum and council members from Longsa village.
