Nagaland: H&FW deptt urges Mkg DPDB to help eradicate TB

Department of Health & Family Welfare (DH&FW) Mokokchung, on Friday, urged upon members of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) to come forward and help eradicate Tuberculosis (TB).
According to a DIPR report, the DH&FW Mokokchung in a PowerPoint presentation on TB elimination informed that presently there are 185 TB patients in Mokokchung.
The presentation was delivered during District Planning and Development Board monthly meeting Thursday at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mokokchung held under the chairmanship of MLA and chairman, DPDB Mokokchung, Imkong L. Imchen.
Department of Health & Family Welfare (DH&FW) Mokokchung urged the board members to come forward with every possible help, adding that it was only through collective efforts that TB could be eradicated.
Report on Livelihood Project taken up by DPDB under LADP (Common Pool) 2021-2022, was presented to the house by the five-member committee, headed by the DC Mokokchung.
During the six-week exercise, the team inspected and monitored the beneficiaries in four-phases.
In the meeting, shifting of the present NST office and all public transport buses (both government and private) to ISBT Khensa was discussed. In this regard, Imkong L. Imchen maintained that the issue was genuine and has been discussed on many occasions. The board also reviewed the last meeting minutes.
