Nagaland team attends national workshop on FLS

A four members Nagaland state team led by state mission director Samagra Shiksha Nagaland (SSN), Temsunaro Aier attended the national workshop on dissemination of Foundational Learning Study (NLS) and way forward conducted by the Ministry of Education, government of India on November 4, 2022 at New Delhi.
A press release by DMD SSN informed that the FLS was conducted all over the country in the month of March 2022 covering 86000 Grade-3 students from 10000 school.
In Nagaland, SSN informed that 669 students from 75 sample schools involving 146 teachers were involved in the assessment. It said the study was conducted to assess the learning achievement levels of students in acquisition of foundational literacy and numeracy goals.
SSN said the national average achievement in FLS was 52% out of the sample study and that as per the study, 28% from Nagaland out of the sample schools attained the benchmark of the FLS.
The state mission director was accompanied by Sr. lecturer SCERT, Veketulu Veyie; reader, SCERT, Benjungdenla Yaden and deputy mission director samagra shiksha, Kelhikha Kenye.
