Nagaland: TKM to continue closure of schools

Even as the school education department on October 26, 2022 issued a redeployment order, the Tzürangkong Kaketshir Mungdang (TKM) under Mangkolemba sub-division, Mokokchung has resolved to continue with its ongoing protest of closing down schools and EBRC under its jurisdiction.
In a press release, TKM president Imlisunep expressed dissatisfaction with the order, saying some schools under their range, which were in desperate need for adequate number of qualified teachers, were left out.
TKM reiterated that “just and rational redeployment” must be done so all concerned schools were properly manned and the learning process of students was not affected.
It also pointed out an anomaly in the order, wherein one same teacher (Serial No. 11 and No. 22) has been posted in two different schools.
