A two-day “Youth board meeting and skill up training” was hosted by Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) youth department on March 22-23 at NBCC Headquaters, Kohima.
A press release by NBCC youth department informed that the event was attended by youth leaders, who were enlightened on various topics to disciple and build up young people through sports and Bible teachings.
During the two-day event, “Sport and Scripture Engagement,” was launched by NBCC general secretary, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho under the leadership of youth secretary, Rev. N. Suhuto Chishi and convener, Dr. Viposa Kiso.
The leaders at the event were enlightened by speakers on various topics – OTS principal, Dr. Joshua Lorin spoke on “Baptist Distinctive”, founder and CEO of Entrepreneurs Associates, Neichute Doulo spoke on “Trees for Wealth” while assistant professor from Nagaland University, Dr. Lovika P. Shikhu, spoke on the impact of mobile game addiction and social media among young people.
At the event, Wichampau Nchang gave a response on Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho’s book on “A Simple Guide to Dealing with Cult & Heresy.”
Rev. Suhuto Chishi reiterated the youth department’s commitment to nurturing and empowering young people to become better Christians and citizens.
