Nagaland Choral Directors Association (NCDA) is geared up to conduct “Choral conducting workshop” from November 18 to 20, which was announced by association members.
Highlighting about the upcoming event Saturday, in a press conference held at the King Chilli, Hibos Garden, Green Park Jn, 5th Mile, members mentioned that the workshop will be held at Dimapur Christian Fellowship Church, Darogapathar.
NCDA president Vimezo Iralu said that the association was planning to host the event on the year it was formed but was put on hold for the last two years due to the pandemic. Members informed that with the upcoming event the team will focus on involving on conducting techniques, choral rehearsals, vocal warm up etc which will help conductors create an ability to inspire singers toward excellence and provide them with the appropriate means to communicate the expressive character of the music.
Briefing about the formation of the association, Iralu shared that that in 2019, likeminded choral enthusiasts came together to form the Nagaland Choral Directors Association (NCDA).
NCDA’s vision is to promote choral art; to enhance, empower and enrich choir directors, and music directors in Nagaland by creating and providing various platforms for the advancement of choral music.
For the event the association expects atleast 30 choral directors from churches to partake in three-day workshop.

Iralu informed that the association plans to organise choral festivals, workshops, seminars, conventions, and other events and also promote Naga choral music, composers and arrangers.
